Third person charged over murder

A third person has been charged with the murder of a 54-year-old man.

Shankar Mukherji died in hospital in August, a day after police were called to an address in Thornhill Road, in Handsworth, Birmingham.

West Midlands Police said a 48-year-old man would appear before magistrates in the city later.

Two men, aged 32 and 50, from Hockley and Handsworth, have already been charged with murder and are awaiting trial.
