Hit-and-run 'followed argument'

Police tape
West Midlands Police sealed off an area in All Saints

There was a confrontation between a group of men before a hit-and-run incident in Wolverhampton which led to a man's death, police believe.

A car was driven at a 59-year-old as a result of the argument in Banstead Close, All Saints, early on Saturday, the West Midlands force thinks.

The man suffered serious injuries and was taken to hospital where he was pronounced dead.

A formal identification and post-mortem examination would follow in due course.

Anyone with information has been asked to contact Bilston Street police station.
