Up 400 freight workers lose jobs

The entire workforce at a parcel freight company in the Black Country are to lose their jobs.

Up to 400 workers at Amtrak, in Aldridge, will lose their jobs over the next few weeks after administrators Ernst and Young stepped in on Thursday.

Weakened consumer spending and the current economic climate has been blamed for the collapse.

One worker told BBC News he was told he could leave on Friday but communication with bosses had been terrible.
