Planned closures in Black Country

Twenty-seven post offices across the Black Country have been proposed for closure, the Post Office says.

It has opened a six-week local public consultation over the plans.

"Taking the decision to close any Post Office branch is always very difficult," Mark Partington, from Post Office Ltd, said.

Here is the list of planned closures in the Black Country:

• No.3 Shop, Barnett Lane, Kingswinford

• 98 Brasshouse Lane, Smethwick, Warley

• 49a Station Road, Brierley Hill

• Clent Parish Hall, Church Avenue, Clent, Stourbridge

• 157 Walstead Road, Delves, Walsall

• 2 Sneyd Hall Road, Dudley Fields, Walsall

• 87 Whitehall Road, West Bromwich

• 93 Hagley Road, Hasbury, Halesowen

• 117 High Street, West Bromwich

• 307 Long Lane, Halesowen

• 70 New Street, West Bromwich

• 209 Newhampton Road West, Wolverhampton

• 94-98 Hagley Road, Oldswinford, Stourbridge

• 282 Hagley Road, Stourbridge

• 616 Willenhall Road, Willenhall

• 301 Prestwood Road, Wolverhampton

• 41 High Street, Quarry Bank, Brierley Hill

• 123 Rood End Road, Oldbury, Warley
