Detectives investigating the murder of a man found stabbed have said they want to trace three men who they believe are "vital" to the inquiry.

Lee Wellard, 34, was discovered stabbed in the neck in Faulkners Farm Drive, Erdington, Birmingham, on Saturday morning. He died later in hospital.

A 47-year-old man has already been charged with his murder.

Police said they were trying to find two white men and a black man who were seen in Erdington on Saturday morning.

Officers said the three men were seen outside the Food And Wine Shop, in Six Ways, between 0300 BST and 0430 BST.

The charged man is in custody and will appear before Birmingham Crown Court on 13 August.
