Head stabbing victim in hospital

A 32-year-old man is seriously ill after being stabbed in the head outside a pizza shop in the West Midlands.

Police said the man and his brother were outside A1 Pizza, in West Bromwich's High Street, early on Saturday when the attack happened.

Officers said the pair got into an argument with a group of five other men which led to the attack.

The man was taken to hospital and needed 20 stitches as a result of the injury, West Midlands Police said.

A force spokesman said the five men were black and were accompanied by two women, believed to be of African origin.

Witnesses are urged to contact police.
