A 13-year-old boy who was badly injured when he was bitten by a dog has left hospital.

Paramedics were called to Ashbourne Road, Wolverhampton, on Monday evening.

The boy suffered puncture wounds to his chest, injuries to his arm and bites to his abdomen, West Midlands Ambulance Service said.

There was no sign of the dog when paramedics arrived, a spokesman said. The boy was treated at Wolverhampton's New Cross Hospital.
