Murder inquiry after fatal fight

Police have urged anyone with information to contact them

Detectives have launched a murder inquiry after a man died in a street fight in Birmingham.

Crews were called to Alexandra Road, Balsall Heath, on Wednesday evening where the man, believed to be in his 30s, was found with serious injuries.

He was taken to hospital but was announced dead on arrival. A post-mortem examination will be carried out later.

A police cordon still remains around Alexandra Road.

West Midlands Police urged anyone with information about the fight to contact them.
