Man fatally hurt during 'fight'

A man has died after reports of a fight in the street in Birmingham.

Police were called to Balsall Heath in the city on Wednesday night, where the victim was found with serious injuries.

The man was taken to hospital following the incident, at about 1830 BST. He was confirmed dead soon after his arrival, West Midlands Police said.

"The scene [of the fight] is still closed and police and forensic experts are in attendance," a police spokeswoman said.
