Man's billboard wedding proposal
Billboard proposal
The couple plan to marry in August
A man made a roadside proposal to his long-term girlfriend - by popping the question in big letters on a billboard.

Motorists driving along Highgate Road in Birmingham were surprised to see a picture of the couple, Marco Victor and Kamia Faceria, by the side of the road.

On the poster were the words "Kamia, will you marry me? Love you, Marco".

Ms Faceria, 26, said she accepted immediately when she saw it. "He told me he wanted to do something different. It is original," she said.

The couple have taken pictures of the poster to send to their families in Angola.

Mr Victor and Ms Faceria met aged 12 while at school.

When Ms Faceria came to study at Birmingham University six years ago Mr Victor followed her and the couple have remained together since.

She said: "He told me he had an interview and I went with him.

"When we got to the billboard he told me to cover my eyes and when I opened them, there it was."

The couple plan to marry in August.
