Firework leads to death of foal
A foal had to be put down after a firework spooked it, causing it to bolt and break its ankle.

The six-month-old foal was at the Fens Pool Nature Reserve in Pensnett, Brierley Hill, West Midlands on Sunday when the firework exploded.

The RSPCA has said the number of calls it received nationwide concerning fireworks and animals has increased.

Between 4 and 6 November it received 241 calls - a 16% increase compared to the same period last year.

Last year it received 207 calls.
