Railway track gets £75m upgrade
Commuters using railway services between Birmingham Snow Hill and Warwick could face disruption as the improvements to the line take place.

Network Rail is beginning a £75m programme to replace old signalling replaced and upgrade tracks at Tyseley.

Managers are warning the line will have close on some days to allow work to take place, but replacement bus services will be provided.

The project should be completed by February 2008.

A spokesman said currently, trains can only go at 20mph over points at Tyseley which can lead to bottlenecks and delays.

Network Rail is building two new junctions either side of the station which will allow non-stopping trains to pass by quickly.
