Teenager attacked by group of men

An 18-year-old man was attacked by a group of men as he talked to a female friend in Redditch.

West Midlands Police are appealing for information over the incident opposite the Seven Stars pub in Birchfield Road at about 2300 BST on Friday.

The teenager was punched, stamped on and kicked after being approached by five or six young men, police said.

He was taken to hospital and received stitches to a large cut to his face. He also suffered two black eyes.
