Glassmaking exhibition to be held
A week-long exhibition showcasing Stourbridge's proud glassmaking tradition is to be staged in the Black Country town next month.

The History of Stourbridge Exhibition will be held in the Crown Centre, opposite the library, from 11 August.

It will include historical images and documents, along with a number of art workshops where children can paint their own glass and create designs.

Councillor Michael Evans described the event as a "real community effort".

He added: "This exhibition will offer both residents and visitors to Stourbridge an ideal opportunity to learn more about the town's glorious glassmaking history."

The exhibition has been organised by Dudley Council's Archives and Local History Service.
