Football stadium station revamped
Central Trains
Central Trains will run a replacement bus service for two months
Fans of newly-promoted Walsall FC will be able to use a new-look railway station at Bescot Stadium, soon after the start of the new football season.

Network Rail is investing £1m in major improvement works, including rebuilding the platforms and footbridge.

The station will be completely closed for eight weeks from Sunday, 8 July.

Central Trains said a special bus link will run between Bescot Stadium and Tame Bridge Parkway, to connect with rail services there.

During this time there will be no public access to any part of the station, including the booking office.

Walsall were promoted to League One at the end of last season.
