Promoted Walsall's open top tour
The Walsall players parade through the town
Manager Richard Money said he was very proud of his team
Fans of Walsall Football Club have gathered in the town to celebrate their promotion from League Two.

The Black Country club drew at Swindon at the weekend clinching the Championship title.

The team left the Bescot stadium on an open top bus before travelling to Walsall Council House for a civic reception.

Manager Richard Money said he and the players were very proud to have performed so well during the season.

"Before the season started we genuinely felt we could be up there," he said.

"We made a really good start to the season and I guess after half way we felt that if we could push through the second half of the season we had a good chance.

"I am very proud and I hope the people of Walsall appreciate what the players have done and the players are looking forward to showing their appreciation to the fans tonight."
