Labour keep power despite losses

Labour remain in control of Wolverhampton City Council following Thursday's election.

However the party lost four seats, to give them 36 overall, while the Conservatives gained three to give them a total of 19.

The Lib Dems gained a seat to give the party three, while the Liberal Party kept its one seat.

An Independent also gained a seat. One third of the council's 60 seats were up for re-election.
