Protestors demonstrated against the factory's closure
Work is beginning on the demolition of Birmingham's landmark HP Sauce factory.

The factory has dominated the skyline in Aston for more than 100 years and it is due to take up to 16 weeks to knock it down.

It follows the closure of the plant earlier this year with production of HP Sauce being moved to The Netherlands with the loss of 125 jobs.

The closure was opposed by unions and civic leaders but US owners Heinz decided the factory was not viable.
