New leads in fatal shop shooting
Mohammed Basharat
Mohammed Basharat was pronounced dead at hospital
Detectives investigating a shop worker's murder are looking for two black men seen running from the scene.

Mohammed Basharat, 24, died after being shot in a store in Villa Road, Lozells, Birmingham, on 29 November.

Two men wearing dark clothing, with their faces covered were seen running towards Hunters Road. They may also have been outside the shop beforehand.

Detectives visited the scene on Wednesday evening and said they had found further lines of enquiry.

Det Supt Mick Treble of West Midlands Police said leaflets and questionnaires had been handed out and a number of potentially significant witnesses found.

"The response from the public was good and their general attitude was one of co-operating to help the inquiry," he said.

"The vast majority of local people are law abiding, responsible members of the community.

"They know as we do this violent crime was committed by a very small number of individuals."
