Tram collision causes injuries

One tram is thought to have hit the rear of another
Two Midland Metro trams have collided in Birmingham causing minor injuries to at least 16 passengers.

The two trams collided near to Benson Road station in Winson Green just before midday.

About 40 passengers were on the two trams. Ambulance crews took 16 people to two hospitals but injuries have been described as "bumps and bruises".

One tram is thought to have collided with the rear of another. British Transport Police are investigating.
