Sniffer dogs trained to cash in
A police force has trained dogs to sniff out money as part of a drive to tackle organised crime.

The specially-selected animals with West Midlands Police can detect hidden money even if it has not been in contact with drugs.

The dogs will assist officers in searching for large sums of cash which, if unexplained, can be seized under the Proceeds of Crime Act.

The unit is now ready for operational deployment throughout the region.
