The man burst into the restaurant demanding money
Police have released a CCTV image of a man who burst into a restaurant and threatened staff with an axe.

The man walked into the McDonald's outlet in Coventry Road, Small Heath, Birmingham, and screamed at staff to hand over money.

Police said customers fled the restaurant as a member of staff opened the till and gave him some cash.

The incident took place on Sunday evening. Police said no-one was hurt but staff were shocked and upset.

The man is described as a 6ft, Asian, aged between 25 and 30 and wearing a dark, hooded, zip-up jacket.
