Murder victim is named by police

Mashooq Khan was found dead in a Sparkhill garden

Police have named a man who was fatally stabbed in Birmingham on Tuesday.

Mashooq Khan, 22, from the Sparkhill area, was found dead in the front garden of a house in Tetley Road.

Two men, aged 22 and 19, and a 16-year-old youth, who were arrested in connection with the death have been released without charge.

A post-mortem examination revealed Mr Khan died from stab wounds. Police said on Saturday that their investigation would continue.
