Hearing over Kanye gig shooting
A man has appeared in court charged with five counts of attempted murder over two shootings including one at a Kanye West concert in Birmingham.

The charges relate to a shooting at the NEC in February where two security guards were injured, and another shooting in Ladywood on Tuesday.

Abidan Raphael, 27, who gave no address, was arrested at Birmingham's New Street station on Wednesday.

He was remanded in custody and is due to appear again on 16 June.

Two people were injured during Tuesday's incident in Ladywood.

Two counts of attempted murder relate to the shooting of the guards at the rapper's concert, and the other three counts relate to the shooting in Ladywood.

Mr Raphael is also charged with two counts of having a firearm with intent to commit an indictable offence, robbery and dangerous driving.

Those charges are in connection to an incident in November 2005 when a car park attendant was injured at the Paragon Hotel in Moseley Street, Highgate.
