Increased security is promised with five new CCTV cameras due to go live in a Birmingham suburb.
The move comes after the community and Birmingham City Council worked together to help combat crime and reduce the fear of criminal activity locally.
The £77,000 cameras, funded by the Sparkbrook Town Centre management budget, join the existing CCTV network.
Lord Mayor Councillor Mike Sharpe will be at Wednesday's official launch in the Ladypool Road area.
The project is also being supported by the Sparkbrook and Sparkhill Area Regeneration Board, the European Regional Development Fund and the council's Neighbourhood Renewal Fund via the Enterprising Communities Programme.
