Shop worker attacked and burned
A shop worker was assaulted and treated for minor burns after a store was set alight in the West Midlands.

The 35-year-old worker had just opened the general store in Balsall Heath, Birmingham, when he was attacked by a man who came into the shop.

The store was then set alight but the worker managed to escape. Passers-by called an ambulance and he was treated for burns to his leg and bruising.

The attacker ran off towards Belgrave Middleway and went down an alleyway.
