Community helps meningitis girl
The response of people to the plight of a five-year-old girl who nearly died from meningitis has been described as "fantastic" by one fundraiser.

Ellie Bishop has had operations on her legs and skin grafts and could face months of surgery.

Fundraisers have made collections at a superstore in Oldbury, West Midlands, where Ellie's mother Karen works.

Her colleague June Lloyd said staff and people in the community wanted to help when they heard about Ellie's illness.

There is more fundraising planned to help Ellie including an event at Hotshots snooker club in Oldbury.
