Karen Hartshorne was found stabbed to death
A man has been remanded in custody charged with murder following the discovery of a woman's body in the Black Country.

Karen Hartshorne, 37, was found stabbed to death at an address in Norton Crescent, Coseley, on Sunday morning.

Peter Martin, 37, of no fixed address, was charged by Dudley magistrates with murder and the attempted murder of a man in his 30s.

Mr Martin will appear at Wolverhampton Crown Court on 24 May.

Detectives are linking the discovery of the body to a second incident shortly afterwards when a man threatened to throw himself off a bridge near junction 10 of the M6 motorway at Walsall.
