Evacuation powder 'not explosive'
House where substance was found
Bomb disposal experts took the substance for testing
A substance which forced police to evacuate 120 homes in Birmingham was not explosive, officers have confirmed.

Army bomb disposal experts were called in during the evacuation in Bartley Green after a suspicious substance was found on 16 February.

However laboratory tests have established that the substance was a contaminated form of amphetamine.

A 100m cordon and evacuation zone was imposed for four hours around the property where it was found.
