Hospital system to cut infection
A hospital is hoping a new cleaning system it has adopted will help to cut ward infections.

The microfibre system has been on trial at Russells Hall Hospital, which won Dudley Group of Hospitals NHS Trust's Cleanest Ward title.

The fabric used in the microfibre mops signals the end of buckets of chemicals. Microfibre dusters are also better at absorbing dirt.

Microbiologist Dr Elizabeth Rees said infection was less likely to spread.
