Cleaner denies airport bomb hoax

An airport cleaner has denied telling a stewardess he had put a bomb under the seat of an aircraft.

Hazar Ali, 26, of Lea Road, in Sparkhill, Birmingham, denied two charges of interfering with an aircraft and communicating false information.

Mr Ali was working at Nottingham East Midlands Airport on 12 July when the alleged offences took place.

He has been released on bail and a trial is due to take place at the end of March.
