An investigation has been launched into a fire which closed a major route into Birmingham city centre.
Hagley Road in Edgbaston was closed in both directions after the blaze broke out on the ground floor of an empty hotel early on Wednesday.
The closure lead to delays in the Wednesday morning rush hour. The road reopened during the afternoon.
The road was closed between the B4182 Sandon Road and the A4040 Barnsley Road junctions.
