Man dies after fall from building

A man has died after falling from a high-rise block of flats in Birmingham city centre.

Police, who were called to Holliday Street on Friday lunchtime, say the man fell from a flat window.

The area remained closed off into the evening while investigations continued. The man, who is believed to have been in his 30s, has not yet been named.

West Midlands Police said the death, at Centenary Plaza, was being treated as unexplained.
