Uni hosts Muslim youth conference

The first national conference on Muslim Youth Work will take place in Birmingham on Monday.

Better services and youth work opportunities for young British Muslims will be high on the conference agenda, hosted by the University of Birmingham.

There has been a wide debate about the allegiances of young Muslims and where they seek authority.

Mohammed Khan, a university lecturer, said it was vital young Muslims were not portrayed in a negative way.
