Elderly warned after bag thefts
Police are warning elderly women in an area of Birmingham to be on their guard after a spate of thefts.

Detectives say they believe the same male offender may be responsible for the six thefts in the Perry Barr area of the city since 2 November.

The man is described as black, aged 18 - 25, between 5ft 9" and 6ft tall and of a slim build.

Shoppers are urged to make sure their bags are secure and avoid carrying large amounts of cash.
