Hotel firm's call centre to close
Travelodge has unveiled plans to close its bookings call centre in Dudley, West Midlands, where 170 staff work.

It is proposing to "outsource" the department as it is increasingly taking reservations over the internet.

A three-month consultation will take place and the company said it hoped to redeploy the call centre staff within other areas of the business.

If the plans do go ahead, a further 80 staff at the Dudley site would also have their offices relocated.
