New moves over freight depot plan
Council leaders in Telford say they hope to choose an operator for a new rail freight terminal by the summer.

The multi-million pound scheme involves the re-opening of the railway line from Wellington through Hadley to a modern freight interchange at Donnington.

After considering the application for nearly two years, the Department of Transport has now given the go-ahead.

Deputy Council leader Charles Smith says they need to move swiftly to the next stage to maintain the momentum.
