Three in court over brothel raid

Three people have appeared in court following a police raid on a Birmingham massage parlour.

They were accused of managing a brothel after 19 women were found in Cuddles sauna parlour in Hagley Road.

Susan Richards, 50, of Smithy Lane, Brierley Hill and Nathan Langston, 22, of The Parade, Dudley were bailed.

Carl Pritchett, 52, of Holbeache Road, Wall Heath was remanded in custody. They will appear again at Warley Magistrates Court on 18 November.

The trio are also charged with possessing a firearm found at the sauna.

Mr Pritchett is further charged with possessing an offensive weapon and will appear before magistrates via videolink on 2 November.

Six of the women found at the premises during the raid have been dealt with by immigration services and the others released by police.
