BBC DJ released after dawn raid

A BBC radio DJ arrested in connection with a police investigation into the alleged sale of stolen goods over the internet has been released on bail.

BBC Asian Network presenter Anjum Rafiq, 32, was detained along with his wife Wahida, 29, after a raid at his home in Solihull on Thursday.

That followed the seizure of £300,000 of computer and office equipment in two separate raids.

Both were released after questioning on suspicion of handling stolen goods.

A BBC Asian Network spokesman said they would not be commenting while the police investigation continued.
