Council reveals bus mall changes
Major changes are planned for Birmingham city centre's bus mall after a review into its operation.

When it opened 16 months ago it led to a series of accidents between buses and pedestrians and traffic chaos.

Two one-way carriages northbound, will become dual carriageways with bus stops and shelters on both sides.

Birmingham City Council says it hopes the changes will give more confidence to pedestrians and reduce congestion and potential "jay walking".

Existing puffin crossings will also be converted to pelican crossings.
