Woman's body found under motorway

Police are investigating the death of a woman whose body was discovered at a motorway maintenance depot.

The body was found by workers at the depot on Bescott Road beneath junction nine of the M6 motorway near Walsall on Friday afternoon.

It is not known how the woman died but detectives say they are keeping an open mind.

The woman, who has not been identified, is thought to be in her 30s and had suffered leg, hip and facial injuries.
