A motorist has been shot in the legs in Birmingham after two men stopped him in his car and demanded cash.
The 31-year-old, from London, drove himself to hospital for treatment following the incident in the early hours of Friday in Sparkbrook.
West Midlands Police said the man had pulled up at the junction of Kendal Road and Montgomery Street when he was approached by two men.
One of the men opened the passenger door, placed a gun against his leg and demanded money.
The driver struggled to get away and was shot in the legs and robbed of his wallet.
He drove himself to a hospital in Birmingham where he is said to be in a stable condition.
The gunman is described as black, aged in his early 20s and 5ft 7 in tall, the second man is also described as black, 5ft 10 in tall, of stocky build with dreadlocks.
Police are appealing for witnesses.
