A spokeswoman for St James's Palace said: "He will obviously be delighted."
The match against a France Schools team takes place at 1300 BST at Southam, Warwickshire.
Competitiveness
Polo is a favoured sport of the young prince, who plays with his father Prince Charles and brother Prince William.
He is known for his enthusiasm and competitiveness on the field.
He sometimes plays on the Highgrove team with Charles and William and was captured on film recently joking with his brother before the match.
