Anniversary appeal over murder

Police have renewed an appeal for information one year after a Walsall man was stabbed to death.

Simon Medley was found with stab wounds in Prince Street.

A memorial service was held for Mr Medley at Caldmore Church, in Walsall, on Sunday.

The 26-year-old had helped to teach youngsters football.

Witness appeal

Detective Chief Inspector Liam O'Brien said: "We are still pursuing a number of strong lines of inquiry and a team of detectives are working on this case.

"We would urge anyone with information who may help with this investigation to come forward."

Police are still trying to trace Jonathon Everton Bailey, who also goes by the street name of Famous.

He is thought to have come to the West Midlands from London and may be able to help with the inquiry into Mr Medley's death.

Anyone with any information can contact Bloxwich Police Station.
