People in Sunderland are being asked for their views on plans for a multimillion-pound snow dome facility. The proposed leisure facility would house an indoor ski-slope, ice rink, and specialist sports shops, along with bars and restaurants. It would be situated in Stadium Village, close to the Stadium of Light and the Sunderland Aquatic Centre. The plans will be on show at a series of exhibitions in the city, and people have until 22 December to comment. Councillor Paul Watson, leader of Sunderland City Council, said: "The proposed indoor snow and ice centre is a major development for the city and it is important that the public have the chance to give their views on the scheme."
