Motorists warned of road closure

Motorists have been warned to expect delays during a series of overnight closures on a County Durham road for a £1.5m resurfacing programme.

The work will affect both carriageways of the A19, between the A690 Herrington Interchange and the A183 Chester Road Interchange, until 31 July.

Diversions will be in place between 2000 to 0600 BST.

The road will be open during the day but there will be a speed restriction of 50mph.
