Man arrested following stabbing

A man has been taken to hospital after being stabbed in the stomach.

Police were called to reports of a disturbance at a house on Cooperative Terrace, Concord, Washington, Tyne and Wear, at 0520 GMT on Saturday.

They found a man who had suffered a stab wound to the stomach. He was taken to hospital and police said his injuries were not life threatening.

A 27-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the incident and is being questioned by officers.
