Durham won the title after Notts lost to Hampshire

Durham cricket fans are being invited to join the players in a champagne celebration of the club's first County Championship title.

Club members can watch the players popping corks on the Riverside pitch before the squad heads for its end of season dinner on Monday evening.

An official reception is also planned before the start of the 2009 season.

Durham captured the Division One crown after wrapping up an innings victory at Kent on Saturday.

They had to wait until late afternoon to be crowned champions when Nottinghamshire lost to Hampshire.

The players will arrive at the Riverside for a team photograph with the LV County Championship trophy on Monday at 1700 BST .

The Riverside lounge and bar will be open for members.
