Man charged with driving offences

A man has been charged with driving offences following an incident involving a van in County Durham.

The vehicle, containing six passengers, including three young children, was found wedged in trees beside a road near Bowburn.

A 34-year-old man from West Cornforth has been charged with driving without insurance, driving while disqualified, and dangerous driving.

He is due to appear before magistrates in Newton Aycliffe later.
