Father and son face drugs charge

A father and son from County Durham have been charged with possession of controlled drugs with intent to supply following a seizure of heroin.

The drug, with a street value of £70,000, was discovered at a house in Kimberley Gardens, Craghead, Stanley.

The pair, aged 38 and 16, and from Stanley, will appear before magistrates in Peterlee on Saturday.

A 64-year-old woman from the same family was arrested and released on police bail pending further inquiries.
